Technergize Your Reading Workshop

Generating Excitement and Higher-Level Thinking

Lisa Highfill has seen student engagement increase and higher-level thinking empowered through her use of technology to teach reading.

Here are a few tips:
1. Find or create a youtube video to introduce the book.

2. During computer lab time, have the kids respond to the book using a Google form with open ended questions.

3. Share out the thinking recorded with the class during discussions.  Bridge critical thinking into independent reading.

4. Interested?  I can help you with both the form and finding/creating videos.  Email me: Tim Swanson
