  • Financing Insights: Canby teachers have money available in iTunes and through Apple's VPP (Volume Purchasing Program) for resources.  District has centralized purchasing, leasing teacher machines.  IT dept. has  setup a 3 year lease on laptops through Apple/GE Capital for $150K a year for teachers; district has a few desktop labs for testing (Think Clients - mostly old machines).  IT dept. has Innovation Grants that teachers can apply for, after taking an action research class and present what they've learned.

We hear so much about bloom's taxonomy. Making sure students are using higher order thinking skills. This site has a few imagines that show which apps relate to the different levels of bloom's taxonomy. These are iPod and iPad apps!
