We will have give away's during each of the DTEC sessions and tons and tons of information. Be ready to learn and play.
Here is a list of what we will be doing...
Session 1:
- Google Apps 101 (Michelle Keene will be teaching this class on getting your google account within our school domain)
- Web 2.0 (Tim Swanson will lead this class and will be covering all kinds of free and low cost web tools.)
Session 2:
- Setting up your iGoogle page (Julie Thompson, Terry A., and Michelle will be teaching this class which will be split into two groups and we will work on setting up your own iGoogle with gadgets, backgrounds, learning about chat, how to link your calendar, etc.)
- Google Calendar (Colleen Henry will be teaching you how to set up your calendar, how to merge it with your group wise calendar, how to post it to your website, blog, how to add pizzazz)
Session 3:
- Web 2.0 (Tim will be teaching another round of fun, free, low cost web tools and gadgets)
- Book Tubes (Michelle will teach you how to lead your students through a new way of sharing their love of reading by creating a book tube, think movie trailer... )
Session 4:
- Google Docs (Tami White and Michelle will be splitting this class and teaching you about using google docs, spreadsheets, forms, collaborating on projects, sharing presentations, etc)
- Setting up a Classroom Blog (Colleen will walk you through setting up your own classroom blog, linking your calendar to your blog, using your blog to send out homework, etc.)
